Zimbabwe is one of Africa’s most developed countries with a rich wildlife heritage. It is however going through a tumultuous political struggle, which has had a hugely negative impact on its economy and tourism. The country is currently being governed by the ruling party of ZANU PF and its President is Robert G Mugabe.

GEOGRAPHY:

Zimbabwe’s population is approximately 14 million people. The people are friendly, the service is good and the experiences are memorable.

CAPITAL:

Harare is the capital however other main cities include Bulawayo, Mutare, Masvingo and the smaller tourist towns of Victoria Falls and Kariba.

CLIMATE:

Zimbabwe’s climate is ideal for safaris with dry winters bringing cold evenings, to hot summers with temperatures around 35°C degrees (midday) and up to 10 hours sunshine a day. The dry season is from April to October and the rainy season is from November to March with the hottest month being October.

DEPARTURE TAX:

Zimbabwe International Airport departure tax is USD30 per person and USD8 Domestic tax per person (applicable at manned airports) only to be paid in USD cash on departure.

VISAS:

Zimbabwe has visa regulations, however these are available upon arrival. It is advisable to check with us, before travel, as they are subject to change.
